LX Authentic 44 Shell Knit

The Authentic is about as classic as Vans gets, but every now and then they like to mess with the formula a little.

The LX Authentic 44 keeps the familiar skate shape but pushes the materials into new territory: the base comes in a dark corduroy, giving the upper a textured, slightly rugged feel that already sets it apart from the usual canvas versions.

Then comes the twist... a knit “shell” layer sits over the top, with open sections forming a checkerboard pattern across the upper. It’s subtle from afar but gets more interesting the closer you look, exactly the kind of detail that makes sneaker nerds stop and inspect your pair.

A black leather toe cap and piping structure up front, while the knit laces tie the whole build together. Underneath, the classic vulcanized sole and waffle outsole keep the skate DNA exactly where it should be. It's the same Authentic attitude, just built a little bit differently this time.
