The New Balance 204L plays somewhere between eras, pulling the slim, low-profile shape from 70s runners and layering it with that textured, slightly technical feel you’d expect from early 2000s pairs. It’s familiar in pieces, but the overall look feels new.

The shape stays sleek and close to the ground, with curved overlay lines that give it movement even when you’re standing still. Up top, premium suede does most of the talking, backed by embossed details and subtle screen-printed graphics that add depth without overloading the design. Then you’ve got the double-stacked ‘N’ logo.
