Issey Miyake’s design language has always been about structure, movement, and how garments sit on the body, and that thinking carries cleanly into this ASICS collaboration. This Hyper Taping version strips things back into layered shades of grey, where mesh and smooth synthetic panels work together rather than compete. The wide tape-style straps replace lacing entirely, giving the shoe a wrapped, almost garment-like construction that feels intentional and considered. Finished with a low-profile sole, it reads less like a traditional sneaker and more like a study in form and function.
